Ground Beef and Gravy
Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 cups beef broth
-
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Salt & pepper to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder or onion powder (optional)

2 tablespoons butter or oil (for cooking)
Instructions

Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Add chopped onion and garlic, cook 3–4 minutes until softened.

Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until no longer pink.

Sprinkle flour over the beef and stir well to coat. Cook 1–2 minutes to remove raw flour taste.

Slowly pour in beef broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.

Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.

Simmer 5–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until gravy thickens.
Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients

2 lbs potatoes (russet or Yukon Gold), peeled and cubed

¼–½ cup milk (warm)
-
¼ cup butter
-
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions

Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (15–20 minutes).

Drain and mash with butter and warm milk.

Season with salt and pepper.
To Serve
-
Spoon mashed potatoes onto a plate.
-
Pour hot ground beef and gravy over the top.

Optional: sprinkle with fresh parsley for color.
