Homemade Hamburger with Peppers & Onions
Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)

Salt & black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

1 teaspoon onion powder (optional)

1 tablespoon oil or butter
-
1 green bell pepper, sliced
-
1 medium onion, sliced
-
Hamburger buns
-
Optional toppings: cheese, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard
Instructions
1. Cook the Peppers & Onions

Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Add sliced onions and peppers.

Cook 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft and slightly caramelized.

Remove from pan and set aside.
2. Cook the Hamburger

Form ground beef into patties (don’t overwork).

Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Cook in the same skillet over medium-high heat:

3–4 minutes per side for medium

Add cheese during the last minute if using.
3. Assemble

Place burger on bun
-
Top with peppers and onions

Add favorite condiments
